UPDATE: As promised, more information regarding the food drive
We are excited to announce that our robotics team, the Blue Valley CAPS Metal Mustang Robotics, is hosting Build KC, a food collection event during the FIRST Greater Kansas City Regional from March 1-3, 2012 at Hale Arena. All proceeds from the event will go to Harvesters food pantry of Kansas City. Non-perishable food items and monetary donations may be accepted. The following is a list of the most-needed items at Harvesters: canned vegetables; canned fruit; boxed meals - (Hamburger Helper, Pasta Roni); canned meat/tuna; peanut butter; canned soup; cereal – hot and cold. The drop-off area for the items will be located at team 2410’s pit. We hope to have your support in this event that will help those in need in the Kansas City area.
During the coming week our team will do its best to contact every team to attend this regional. Be sure to let everyone know about this food drive! Tell your family and friends, teammates, and even neighboring FIRST teams that will be in attendance. Every can counts!
