Re: FP Motors, a sad moment

We found a very simple way to do it. We took a 1 x 1 x 1/8" angle and cut a slot in it, just wide enough to fit around the axle, under the pinion. The upturned leg of the angle is strong enough to resist the forces needed.

The we pressed on the shaft with a small arbor press and the pinion hopped right off.
