We are using an RS550 into a custom built tranny made from gears from the FP tranny. It has a two stage reduction of approx. 15:1. The roller is made of a bunch of pneumatic tubing strings passed through the shaft and secured by tie wraps. It works works really nicely!

The attached picture is of our prototype. We found that one stage of reduction wasn't enough. It only has about a 5:1 reduction. So, the final version has two stages.
