Why do you want to move to WordPress? Content management systems like WordPress and Joomla are great if you want non-coders to write content for the website using a
WYSIWYG editor. But they cost you time to learn the file structure so you can customize the navigation, style and specialized content. The add-ins frequently increase page-load time unreasonably.
I'd recommend you continue hand coding PHP until the website grows so large that you really need a content management system.
