Scouting can be a simple or as indepth as you want. At the very least, track the number of points scored by each team in a match. This allows you to get a good idea on the first pick. The second pick however, is much more subjective as there is no good objective way to measure defensive ablilty.

What I'm going to be looking at this year are:
Win/loss (not for picking, but to get an idea of the top 8 seeds early on)
Times balaced with 1/2/3 robots
Shots made high/mid/low
Shots successful high/mid/low
Cross bump passes
Estimated time to balance
Comments from scouts

This all goes to a spreadsheey to be analysed. I calculate OPR based on the match score for a number at events that I can't be at (if you don't know what it is, there have been several threads about it)
