Q&A Madness

Oh. My. Deity.

I don't like Q&A; we already got that.

But, there are two things that, now the season has started, are driving me completely bonkers.

First, the new threads spawned from the Q&A Forum are making things a mess. The same discussion is going on in six different places. Three people ask the question, some people start new discussion from the Q&A forum, and then the original questions in the Q&A Forum is getting answered by the moderators (who seem like they're all but ignoring the regular forums.) Having people ask the same question 756 times is frustrating enough, but then watching it have little thread-children and spawn itself all over the place is mind-boggling. I can't keep up.

Second, when you spawn little devil-threads that confuse everything, the discussion bot that posts first doesn't provide all that much useful information. Is it possible for the discussion bot to quote the message that the discussion spawned from? Either, the original message or the message from which the link was clicked?

This is all so confusing and maddening and I don't think it needs to be.
