I would normally agree, but replacing the Power Distribution Board
did fix the issue for another team having exactly the problem you describe. Yes, it makes no sense. No, there should not be a difference between practice and a competition match.
Consider this: if it's the one thing you haven't changed, and the problem is still there, you can't rule it out.
