A question about the appendage

Hello all,

So, our team has a dumper that dumps all 3 balls into the hoop.

It's tucked into the robot so it's not an appendage, and is only an appendage when extended.

However, when balls come in the robot and are moved into the dumper waiting to be dumped, the balls stick out a little bit beyond the perimeter.

Just to give you a visualization, the dumper is slanted down sharply into the robot, with about a 30 degree angle between the dumper and the wall it's attached to (the wall is in the center of our robot, essentially cutting it in half).

So, if the balls stick out a little bit when in the dumper when the dumper is still within the perimeter, is this legal? Or would this somehow be an appendage?
