What model? Is it a network ("IP") camera?

The dashboard is written to connect to a camera that implements the Axis protocols via an Ethernet connection. If you want to use a different camera, you're responsible for figuring out how to view its image.

Most network cameras can be viewed in a simple web browser. That should be easy enough (unless you're using the Classmate's "Driver" account).
