This "inspection tool" was developed by the Chesapeake head ref, Steve Shade, and LRI, Anne Shade, primarily to help the Chesapeake inspection team. There are a lot of codes for each team on that pit map, corresponding to different areas where the team has passed. I "managed" inspections at Chesapeake, and witnessed the side benefits, like you experienced, to have this posted for all to see.
I am hoping that more events inquire about using it.
