Passover, Damascus, and the Israeli Air Force

A few years ago, there was a Passover "Seder" held at Champs in Atlanta Saturday night after Finals.

One of the Israeli mentors told a story about his time as a Pilot in the IDF, flying over Damascus one Passover. He then met a young man who had emigrated from Damascus as a child, and had experienced the sonic boom from the ground.

I remember the story pretty well, but would the mentor in question mind re-telling it here, so I can relate it to my family at our Seder? I think everyone else on CD would enjoy it as well.

Toda Raba, Pesach Kasher l'Kulam.
