I don't know the inspector's name who judged us at the Utah regional, but he either loved or hated us by the end of Thursday. We didn't realize that we had removed the only place on the robot where our team name was painted (on most robots it's on at least 3 places), and the result was a heated debate with the inspector on whether or not my sharpie'd "Team 1891" was "proudly displayed" on the robot.
In the end, he let us get away with it, and I'll never forget how passionately we defended our "proudly displayed" team name in sharpie.
