Why not just make it simple and have a jump ball? Have the referee toss the moneyball down the middle of the field with a best effort of having it bounce on the coop bridge? Then it becomes a mad dash to pick up a single ball that could bounce either way. I imagine it would be pretty easy to make a "fair" catapult/slingshot at the side of the field to enter the moneyball consistently.
