Some other business of the day - thanks a TON to Dave Campbell and Team 144 for offering to wait at the venue while their bus took us back to our hotel at the end of the day after our bus wouldn't start. Extremely grateful to them for this very kind and gracious act - plus we got to play "clown bus" fitting about 45 people (many of them not small) into a bus meant for 35. Fun times.
6-1, 128 HP, and 170 TP through 7 matches. 3 to go. I haven't done the math, but it seems we are scoring baskets better in qualifying than probably Pittsburgh and Wisconsin combined.
All 3 NEOFRA teams in attendance (48, 379, 3193) are currently in the Top 10. 379 and 3193 are bringing it strong - looking at the schedule, they will both have a major impact in the final qualifying rankings and in the elims. I'm very proud of all my friends on these teams.
Great venue, atmosphere, and event overall. The planning committee has done an excellent job in their first go around!
Great to see Bill Beatty, Chris Fultz, and Andy Baker leading the herd o' WFA and WFFA's onto the field for the awards presentation - congrats to George Bilokonsky of 1270 - well deserved!
Finally, GREAT JOB Jimmy Nichols on all you did and do to earn today's Volunteer of the Year recognition!
