IHMO too much emphasis has been put on "you must take lots of AP classes and get into a 4 year college ASAP if you have any hope of being successful". If FIRST teaches you nothing else all students should take away that for almost any situation that are many ways to tackle it successfully. With the ever increasing cost of a 4 year college and the fact than many are shifting to giving an increasing percentage of spots to out of state applicants, students and parents NEED to know that other paths can also lead to a successful career.
