If they can work out their communications woes, they could potentially match the type of success they've had at Championship the past two seasons.

Yep, IF we can work out those communications issues. Big If.
The rest of the team is rolling along Route 80 at the moment, so I (the Team Pessimist) will comment: I just wish we could nail this one down. It has been so frustrating for the team to have such a predictable and reproducible problem, and over a dozen of the very best folks in FIRST work on it, and not even have the slightest handle on it.
sigh.
I don't get frustrated, I get determined. Stop by and offer your 2 cents, if you have an idea.
Here is the reproducible issue: Set the robot on the field, it connects. Wait a few tens of seconds, it loses comm, the radio lights go solid blue. Reboot the robot, after it gets comm again, all is well for the rest of the match. (Without the reboot, it never reconnects. If that 'time' happens after the match starts, oh well, we "sleep".). No pattern as to who powers on first or last.
