I'd like to point out that just because it is going to exist soon doesn't mean you want to religiously wait for it... be productive! Use the existing item while you wait!
(For instance, the school that I work at as an after school camp counseler is moving and the campus is getting torn down at the end of the school year. The fridge broke. Typical LAUSD response: The kids can get by without a refrigerator for 5 months... After that it would just have to be moved anyways)

I don't have any patience either (bad thing for me to). You do have an excellent point on the religious stuff and whatnot. But yet, you get rookies who get all hyped on it, that they forget all about the working non-beta version.
