Did that early AM Planetary include stand-offs for mounting the FP motor? I like the breathing space that this mounting style provides (i.e., does not block the front ventilation holes in the motor case), but I wonder if it is stiff enough when the robot is shock-loaded? Also, how is the motor power coupled to the gearbox? With the stand-offs as shown, it appears there will not be much axial engagement for the motor pinion.
