In 2012, we did NYC in week 3 (Fri, Sat, Sun) followed by Boston in week 4 (Thurs, Fri, Sat). Most of the issues have been brought up, but we did experience all of them.
The week 3 in NYC was nice because the students only had to miss 1 day of school for that event, but missing 3 days total over a 6 day span was difficult for many of them. Doing NYC put us back in the Boston area around 10pm Sunday night, which meant a rough start to the week. Fitting in time to make the modifications/tweaks along the way also ate up more time and pushed us physically/mentally.
By the end of the Boston regional we were all quite exhausted. We're avoiding a back-to-back at all costs unless we have no other options.
