[FTC]: Autonomous mode and the plywood sheet

When discussing our strategy yesterday, we realized that there is a serious issue which we do not know how to deal with. I was wondering if other teams have some ideas they can share...
Namely, the center rack is placed on 1/2'' plywood sheet - which really messes up the autonomous mode: if you are trying to put a ring on one of the side columns, some of the robot wheels will be on the floor (i.e the tiles) and some on the plywood, making the robot lean in a rather unpredictable way - enough to make precise positioning difficult. Of course, one solution would be to place the rings from afar, but this is complicated as well. How do other teams plan to deal with it?
