There seems to be a lot of these lately. John Metz passed away on the 27th after a long battle with cancer. Most of you probably don't know the name, but John led the Boeing FIRST grant effort for the local Philadelphia area. He more than led it; he was very active in persuading Boeing to grant money in various ways to many teams. Those of us who have received these grants should be very thankful for his efforts.
John became active in FIRST eight years ago when his son, Mike, was a member of MOE. Our sympathies go out to his wife Jackie and his family.
