Our team is unique by being the FIRST team (I think) to experiment with a blind drive system that makes the robot able to essentially be controlled by a person who is vision impaired. Code named I.D.A.N. or Intelligent Detection And Navigation system, this feature won us the Leadership in Controls Award at last years NYC Regional.
