There was a news conference today in our robotics lab about the new city-wide robotics competition. This is a project we have been working on for the last five years and it's finally coming to fruition.
Big thanks to the mayors office, the REC Foundation and The TechPoint Foundation for Youth for getting this whole thing put together.

MAYOR BALLARD TO ANNOUNCE INAUGURAL CITYWIDE COMPETITION
AIMED AT INSPIRING STEM CAREER PATHWAYS
INDIANAPOLIS – Mayor Greg Ballard on Tuesday will announce an inaugural citywide academic competition aimed at inspiring students to continue with higher-level education and science, technology, engineering and mathematic (STEM) career pathways and introduce the competition’s presenting sponsor. Participating high school students will demonstrate technology being incorporated into their STEM curriculum. More than 38 high schools in Indianapolis are participating in the competition, and students and teachers from several high schools will attend this announcement.
