Opportunity for Juniors to participate in summer engineering program at MIT

What: MITES, Minority Introduction to Engineering and Science. A rigorous 6-Week residential program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in which students who are either underrepresented or have had a challenging background are selected to participate in the program.

Who: Current high school juniors should apply!

Why: A life changing experience.

Link: More information about the program and the link for the application! http://web.mit.edu/mites/Applications.html

I am actually an alumni of this program, having participated this past summer. I'd have to say about 10-12% of the people I met there were participants in either FIRST or Vex Robotics. Even though I've been on a FIRST team for a while, this program was way more than an "introduction" to engineering & science and firehose-style doused me in college level material while being surrounded by an amazing network of diverse, motivated students, teaching assistants, instructors, and MIT faculty.

Recommend students on your teams who you may think will benefit from this program! It really is a game changer.

PM me or post on this thread if you have any questions or need any clarification.
