Re: Make Sure You Buy the Hotel Packages

Our team had originally made reservations at a non-package hotel within walking distance of the venue only to find out that we would not be able to attend, or purchase the tickets to attend, the Friday and Saturday night FIRST events at Six Flags.

The reason I'm posting this here is that other teams continue to book at this same hotel and unless they are from the "greater Houston area" they may not be aware that they will not be able to participate in all the FIRST National Championship activities held in Six Flags.
Well.... nevermind.

The main reason why they probably are making us reserve hotels through the package is to allow for teams not to be 'ripped off' in terms of transportation and such. Last year everyone got transportation and could attend, so this is probably in response to the fact if you wanted to stay off site then you didn't want to pay to get into the party, so now you don't have to pay, but you don't get in.
