I may be misunderstanding your statement, but you are treating the 54in as the diameter, not the radius, correct? (G23) If you extend a 54" appendage, as Bill correctly stated, your
non-appendage width in that axis must be zero (which is impossible). You may extend a
total of 54" in multiple directions, provided those directions are not anti-parallel from a single point. The former refers to an outside-frame-perimeter appendage, while the latter means total robot length.
