Physics: Center of Mass and Tipping

I was interested in calculating how quickly a robot would have to accelerate or decelerate in order to tip given a center of mass at a certain height and position along the robot. What equations govern this scenario? I couldn't find a white paper on this, but I wasnt completely sure what to search.

Disclaimer: we plan to have a fairly short robot this year, so these calculations are purely academic for me.
