Welcome to FIRST guys! One piece of advice that I can give you is that you get out of it what you put into it. If you show up every day and work hard, you will love it, learn tons, and make great friends.
Also don't be caught off guard when the regional whirlwind come around. The first time you attend a regional as a student or as a team things can get quite crazy while you're trying to figure out exactly how everything works, it can take some time.
Lastly, read the rule book! Make sure that before you do anything you read the game manual cover to cover so you know as best you can how not just the game will be played but how everything in FRC will be run.
If you want additional resources there are tons of teams that come to mind, 1114 simbotics in particular, that provide online presentations, design guides, building instructions, and more. Make sure you utilize everything you can to become a better team and awesome things will happen!
Good luck guys! Welcome to the best place ever!
