They're both good products.

Talon is smaller, lighter, virtually immune to swarf, and can sustain higher currents without shutting down.

Jaguar has CAN bus and can do on-board closed-loop control of position, voltage, and current. This year's Jag has conformal-coated PCB so it should be less sensitive to swarf. I think it also has a slightly higher current shutoff setting (has anybody tested this yet?).

Don't forget the Victor 888. It's derived from the 884 which has a reputation for robustness and ability to sustain high currents.
