Re: what is the benifits of re-imaging our classmates

Re-imaging is necessary if you have a new Classmate without an operating system pre-installed. That's what rookie teams get and what FIRST Choice provided.

If you have one of the original E09 Classmates with little disk space, then imaging is useful to fit a development system onto it.

Re-imaging is not really necessary if you have a newer Classmate (E11 or E12) that's already got last year's software on it.
It is not necessary on a Classmate E09 if you simply want to use it as a Driver Station.

Re-imaging is helpful in cleaning up a Classmate if it has a lot of stuff on it or has collected viruses.
It can be faster than removing all the old software, then installing the new software.
