We did not tap the end of the CIM shaft, we just made an adapter with a .316" hole in it, and 1/2" OD, to fit in the old AndyMark hub we had. We drilled and tapped the side of the hub (that you can't see) for a 10-32 setscrew. And we filed a flat on the motor shaft for the set screw to have something to seat against. It's not a good way to do this, this is only a prototype for testing.

Also you need a guard around the shooter wheel, do not run it until you have something there to protect yourself.
