How is the solenoid wired and powered?
How is the solenoid breakout powered?
Have you measured the power at the pins with a multi-meter?

Is it a 24v or 12v solenoid?

You can tell if your code is working correctly by the green LEDs on the solenoid module.
According to the code the first and second LEDs on the module should alternate being lit.
