As per communication, at least it would let our alliance know if we were having problems. As opposed to "Our climber broke into 23 pieces" you'd just hear "Shazbot!".  |
As far as volume, I doubt it would be a problem, but I'd check anyway.
As far as effectiveness, in all the confusion and chaos of a match, it would be quite easy for your drivers to not hear a noise made by your laptop, and especially so for your alliance partners -- and as a driver, I can tell you that hearing a partner's laptop say "Shazbot!" would mean absolutely nothing to me.
