I got a response about the dog clutch from AM but I think those are only used in the transmissions. What I was wondering was what clutches I could put onto a shaft and a second shaft, where only one shaft will turn until the clutch is engaged, and then both shafts will turn.
A mechanical clutch is easily machinable to be used in a similar manner as shifter dog gears. You can create a larger dog and use a larger bore piston for desired effect. A couple teams did this in 2010 for kickers.

I'm assuming this is part of your hanger?
