I agree with you guys, I would prefer aluminum but when your sponsor donates the steel and offers to weld it for you, we can't complain. We would have just purchased some aluminum and sent it to the sponsor for welding but they do not weld aluminum unfortunately.
There will be no shaft to support, we are directly mounting to the CIM via a 8mm key hub from AM.
