D-Link 1522 Rev B wireless-N problems

I am preparing a FMS-lite field control system today for our area scrimmage next weekend and ran into an issue with the new D-Link 1522 Rev B in bridge mode (FW rev 2.03b).

I have a Netgear WNDAP360-100NAS that I am using as a wireless access point for the robots. The D-Links will be configured in bridge mode. I cannot get the D-Link to reliably connect to the access point in 5GHz wireless-N mode. It connects then hangs, or connects and disconnects and reconnects over and over. No data flows in either direction in this configuration.

Interestingly, last year's Rev A D-Link works just fine in N mode against this access point. Also, several different laptops and my iPad all connect to the Netgear access point just fine in wireless N mode.

If I run the D-link Rev B in 5GHz A mode (54 Mbps) it works just fine so that is how we will run the scrimmage.

We have two D-Link Rev B devices and they both exhibit the same behavior. It seems to me that there is a problem with the Rev B hardware and/or firmware.

Has anybody else seen this? Does anybody know what mode the bridges run in regional competitions? I'm concerned there may be a problem when we get to competition.

Thanks,

~ Mike
