Re: Please explain how to hook up a compressor like im a 5 year old

Programming details depend on the language.
They all have special Compressor functions that do the work for you.

Wiring is pretty simple:
  • Compressor wires to a Spike, the Spike to the Power Distribution Panel. Use a 20a breaker and replace the 20a fuse in the Spike with a 20a breaker.
  • The Spike gets a PWM cable controlling it from a Digital Sidecar Relay output.
  • A Pressure Switch gets wired to the Signal & Ground pins of a DIO on the Digital Sidecar.
  • The solenoids are wired into the Solenoid Breakout on the cRIO Solenoid Module.
  • The Solenoid Breakout gets wired with either 24v or 12v power from the Power Distribution Panel, depending on the voltage of the solenoids you plan to use.
Tubing all the pneumatic components together is a little more involved.
