Karthik's research and depth of background knowledge on teams in the finals is absolutely unparalleled. Anyone who can pull off a 4 minute intro completely out of his head is to be envied
To clear up any confusion,
yes JonDarr will be returning this year as our Game Announcer. If you ever have the opportunity to hear him speak outside of his "announcer voice", you probably wouldn't recognize him at all
Although the longstanding names like Verbrugge and Blair have a great deal of FIRST experience and recognition, JonDarr hands down has the most pleasant voice, intonation, and "sportscaster-like" presentation of any of the GA's I've heard. If you haven't heard him before, I promise you'll agree by the end of Saturday!
