Team 3647: Ultimate Ascent Robot

Hello all,
After catching up on some sleep we proudly present our machine to the rest of the world:

This year we have had almost complete 12/7 access to a full machine shop allowing us to create the best machine we have had since our rookie year in 2011. This is also the first year we have gone off the Kit Frame and machined our own WCD drive, coming off from our off season success with almost the same design.

We thank all the members, mentors and parents that have committed their time to make this happen, as well as our mainsponsors: SAIC, Nordson, Qualcomm and MakerPlace. Also to the various teams that have helped out us with parts and design.

The Drive: video
The popular West Coast Design: 2x1 Box with riveted gussets
WCP SS Gearboxes Geared for about 14FPS
WCP Live axel hubs and 4 inch Colson wheels
Custom machined GT2 5mm pulleys for drive, C-C + .005 for belt runs; has run beautifully for hours of practice.

Shooter:
Mini CIM geared up 2x using WCP gears
GT2 3mm Drive
4 inch colson wheels with WCP hubs up to 10,000 RPMs
BangBang Controller with KOP Encoders
Fixed Angle hits all 3 goals and the pyramid
3 Disk Auton Routine (may add more depending on time)

Loader and Intake:
550s and BAG CIM with VersaPlanetary Gearbox
GT2 3mm Drive
Custom Machined Pulleys for surgical tubing runs
Holds up to 4 disks
Intake allows for ground pick up

Hanger:
Two 2inch bore 6 inch stoke cylinders with hooks allows for level 1 climb
Can climb after the buzzer
Under 2 seconds to lift off the ground

In addition our build blog is now public: http://ultimate3647.tumblr.com/
Mostly just a photo dump of our progression.

We will be at San Diego Regional and Inland Empire.
Hope to have some fun matches and see everyone there.

If you have any questions feel free to ask, we have nothing to hid.
