Re: What did we learn from week 2 of the 2013 season?
From San Diego, I learned how every full-court shooter has the potential to be blocked, and my guess is that towards the closing regionals defense will be very good at it, rendering full-courts disabled.
Autonomous is super important, as seen by 987's pixie dust intake and any 7 disk autonomous put together.
Also, 30pt climbs are overrated. It takes precise maneuverability to line up correctly to the corner, and falling off and crushing an important subsystem (148) is just too risky for only 30 points. Without 3Day and the fact that frisbees are simply easier to shoot accurately, 30 points makes sense. However, that is not how this game has developed. Hopefully FIRST will raise the point value for championships.
