The RED push button on top of the breaker is meant to open the breaker. The little black flag that comes out is the actuator to indicate that breaker has been tripped. Reset is accomplished by resetting the black flag into it's covered position, i.e. not visible.
This breaker is a big improvement over last year. I have not been able to make it trip with shock in any orientation although I have tried many times. I have yet to fully test under load, but suspect that since this product was designed for vehicle use, we will be satisfied with it's performance.
