Re: Shipping batteries by air without using the crate?

You absolutely can ship the type of battery that first uses by air, you just have to label it properly. Using the original packaging is not mandatory, but there are requirements the packaging needs to meet. For example it must be labeled nonspillable battery.

I suggest researching this on the DOT website.
