That's not quite the way I'd do it. I've had drafts run out of teams (with no open slots) after randomization before, but not to the point of open slots.


If it were up to me, I'd say to compute the median score of a team at the event and apply that in any remaining hole. (Could also do mode; I wouldn't use mean for this.)
