Apparently, in Wisconsin (or maybe it's just in Appleton) if you are jailed for any reason ... when you get out, you are entitled to a piece of gold and a horse. I guess it was some old law that just faded away, and is still in place today! (Though lately, I haven't seen anyone riding a horse holding a piece of gold!)

Then there's the whole women being able to run (minus any garments) in Maine ...
