You are guarenteed to have *three* free cylinders. But nothing is stopping you from getting another legal one, even though you may have to pay for it.

This is incorrect.

Team Update 7 reads,

Previously, FIRST's wording made some people believe that the supplied cylinder had to be used on the robot (i.e., in the same manner that the light is required.)

That is not true. If you wish to use the supplied cylinder, you may. Otherwise, you may order up to three additional cylinders at no cost, an you may use up to three custom cylinders on your robot. No more, no less.

It does not read, "You may use the 3 free cylinders plus whatever you pay for up to 4."
