Scouting13

Hey everyone,

So now that it's just a few days until World Championships, I'm here to tell you about our latest version of Scouting13.

https://github.com/joelg236/Scouting13

http://imgur.com/a/deLcn
  • Cross-Platform (Windows, Linux, Mac, BSD)
  • Transferable data (Copy all data to a USB drive to see all data on one computer)
  • Compiles into CSV format with team stats and match stats
  • Easy to use and understand

All you need is some laptops and people.

Installing
Click here. If you have Java installed, open the .jar file. (install java here)

Using
Files are stored in "C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\scouting"

To compile data into CSVs, pass around a USB drive. Press "File>Save as..." and navigate to the USB. Save there.

On the "compiling" computer, copy all of the files on the USB into the "C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\scouting\RegionalName Matches\" folder there. Open the program, and press "File>Decompile All". CSV files are put in "C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\scouting\Teams in RegionalName" and "C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\scouting\RegionalName Recap".

Matches
To get matches from the internet, use "Edit>Parse from web". Find your event ID here at the bottom. Save that match list (Save first), and copy it into the "C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\scouting" folder of every computer you are scouting with. It should ask you to open the file when starting the program. ("Found match list...")

Predictions
To predict QS score, click "Stats>Predict Matches". If you're curious about scores, run this program from the command line (see here). It displays each match's predicted score.

* PS - Check out our Android scouting app here!

Hopefully this will help some of you.
