On a related subject, I'll bet some other teams have named all of their batteries like we have (it is a practice we picked up from 1625 Winnovation.) We actually become very familiar with each battery by name, and remember which ones won important matches, which ones are a little weaker than others, etc.
Our current roster of competition batteries:
Franklin
Neil
Mackenzie
Freebie
Oprah
Michael
Gary
Sandbag
Darwin
Pedro
Plus two batteries reserved for alliance partners: Tonto and Wattson.

Yea, We used to name our batteries names like "Old Gregg" but in 2010 picked up a new, more standard, naming convention. We now use the NATO phonetic alphabet to keep track of our batteries for very similar reasons. It comes in handy, many a times I'll hear myself saying "NO!! *INSERT FRESHMAN* WE
JUST USED ALPHA!!!" lol
