This might be of use as well. It is a configuration utility offered by FIRST on this page:

It includes instructions along with a file to automatically configure your radio after resetting it to default settings.

But to answer your question, yes, after competition it is easiest to reset your radio since during competition they configure it to work with the competition field as well as a unique, secure security key. Following the instructions provided above should get your robot back to normal operating conditions in the shop.
