I think everyone wants it to boot faster. But most wifi systems I'm familiar with take 20 or 30 seconds to boot -- smartphones, routers, computers, etc. The more powerful or flexible the system, the longer it takes. Meanwhile, my first Nokia phone booted in a few seconds. I understand why the boot times of the phones differ, and the same technical reasons apply to the FRC controllers.

See my earlier comments about the power being overkill for the application.
Also, if WiFi can't do better than 20 or 30s boot times, which I agree seems to be pretty normal among WiFi devices, then maybe WiFi is the wrong technology.
