Ehh the vision was realized the day we pulled together the first one - many of the teams in Rochester working together and coming together for a fun event where we could all learn and grow... we had it long ago
The extravaganza that it has become is just way above and beyond what I ever would have dreamed!!!
Rochester was such an amazing place to start my career, and to really get my feet on the ground as a mentor in FIRST. All of the teams are so helpful and friendly, as much as I love New England, I will always miss the family that the Rochester FIRST community provided. They are the epitome of GP like no other area I've seen. That they are now able to draw in and host teams from so many different places is just a testament to the amount of hard work and effort that the students and mentors in the region put in year round.
I'm looking forward to my time back in New England and all the craziness it will bring, but I will always try and return to Rochester!! I'm really sad to miss my first Rally in 10 years this year, but I'll hopefully be watching the webcast from where-ever I am that day and if all goes well, will see everyone at FLR!!
